Also, company is encouraging employees to pursue their PhD while at work. For this, the company has tied up with leading institutes like Manipal University and BITS Pilani.

Similarly, Mr. Narendra Raje, Director- Learning and Development, Unisys India told that the company offers certain industry led as well as self paced trainings to employees for their career development.

According to research conducted, organizations that have optimized employee engagement have 2.6 times the earnings per share (EPS) growth rate compared to organization with lower engagement in the same industry. So, higher engagement leads to more productivity.

Ø 
However, the employee engagement may get decreased over a longer period of time. For this, manager can have powerful conversation with team members that are both evocative & generative so as to create a place of work that often challenges an employee to unfold more, both as a person & in his or her role.

Motivation at work: Company are increasingly becoming aware of the fact that only a motivated person can do full justice to his/her work.

Mr Krishnan PP, CDO & HR head at Tavant explains that the company has Killing Greek’s Boredom forum that conducts various fun activities such as Tavant Premier League (TPL), Ping Pong wars & online games. Such fun activities motivated employees & increase their engagement. Also, certain career development program like 1UP- career development initiative and Individual Development Plan (IDP) are also conducted for the same.

On the similar lines, Mohammed Shahber, head-HR, Aviva life insurance talks about certain key initiatives taken by the organization so as to motivate the workforce. The company conducts a “Base camp” which is a challenging, fun and organized series of spaces, events and initiatives. They have also launched CEO awards program, IDEAS interactive channel for inviting ideas and ‘Talking Talent’ initiative for identifying, building and managing the strong performers.
